Since joining University...

The last 6 weeks since joining University have been a pretty hectic few...

From lectures, to University team try outs (which I am pleased to say I made it onto the Cheerleading squad), to the best nights out of my life, you name it, I've done it! Although the toughest thing about the move to University is definitely the moving part! We've all made such a huge shift and it all seemed to happen so quickly! However, I'm extremely fortunate and am able to drive home most weekends due to only living an hour down the road (if that!) to deliver my weekly load of washing to my mum, sorry but I refuse to pay £2.80 PER wash and then an additional £3 for use of the dryers!! Doesn't sound much but when you're having to do two to three loads each time of, darks, whites and colours, it really adds up! So why not waste petrol and take it home to my mum instead? Simple student logic or laziness?

The cooking! To be quite frank, I've given up. The first couple of weeks I was so into cooking my own fresh food from scratch, I considered myself quite the Gordon Ramsey too, but seriously, who's got time for that these days? When you've got a lecture till 5:15 and cheer practice at 7:45, who's got time to rustle up a Michelin standard meal? Not me! From now on its a diet of pizza, chips and PotNoodles, total athletes diet I know! But of course, as far as my mum is concerned, I eat a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, drink 3 pints of water a day and am most definitely using the Nigella cook book she bought me as a parting gift!

So whilst the adaptation to university life is still ongoing I am proud to say, although early days I think I am becoming a rather successful University student, who needs healthy meals and clean clothes anyway? 4 weeks down, 40 to go.
